ARMIE Models - Assemble, Model, Enjoy

Scale modeling is a hobby which can and should be enjoyed by all ages, young or old. Here at ARMIE, we are a community of plastic modeling enthusiasts who want to share the joys and goodness that comes from taking up this hobby. Here, the modelers build whatever they fancy whether it is a tank, a plane or a ship. In the end, this is a community where we want to hang loose and just have fun.

ARMIE Personnel

Like all military era, we have our aces. The finest cohort of men to bring scale modeling to greater heights. We proudly present to you ARMIE's finest, members of the ARMIE's community.

Air Marshall Mark

Machines, especially military machines, have always been things that have captured my imagination and interest. Watching old war movies used to be my favourite pastime when I was a kid and that was my first contact with military machines. Seeing Gen. Patton’s Shermans and M10s taking on Field Marshall Rommel’s Tigers and Panzers in Africa caused my interest in military hardware to grow.
I was especially interested in modern aircraft, attending several Asian Aerospace air-shows and RSAF open houses. It was my grandfather who was my inspiration to start plastic modeling. He had built a vast array of models during his younger days. Whenever I went to his place to visit, I could not help but just sit and look at the models for hours on end.
So in 2003, just after enlisting into the SAF, I started modeling. My first kit was an RSAF F-16 I bought for $22. Till this date (26 April 2007), I have completed over 2 dozen aircraft, several tanks and an aircraft carrier with a whole lot more in the works!

Air Marshall Liow

Hi, I am Liow, in mid 40s. Started modelling when I was in secondary school.
My biggest dream is for this miniature hobby to be recognized as a form of art and also able to run a model museum for everyone to appreciate this art.
I do mainly any topics, but special attention given to figures and dioramas.

Field Marshall Chin

Hi, the name is Chin. Being the oldest and the slowest member, I have been around since the shop with no name was up and running two years ago. A lot has changed but the community has remained strong and grown in numbers. Currently, workload in the rat race has somewhat sloooowed me down considerably in my quest to complete the various unfinished projects parked in the shop's display cabinets. Whatever spare time I have is now focused on BARNEY, hopefully in time for the coming Tamiya competition. Can't miss it if you were ever to drop by....its the odd one out.....seeya soon

Field Marshall Danial

I started back in 2001. Had a great teacher to thank for. He inspired me to go all the way and enjoy modelling. I had never look back since.
