SAF Armour color...my formula....

Hi,

I think the SAF color is known as Temasek Green which is a mixture of dark green and grey in the proportions about 70:30. One can vary this proportion to achieve the desired tone. Remember that in reality the SAF vehicle will exhibit different biases to green or grey under sunlight or cloudy conditions. I hope this would be helpful to the the modeler's query on a recent posting. Happy modeling!

Check this out Sam.......

Hi Sam,
Check out this Academy 1/35 M113 Fitter in SAF colours. Its a reasonably priced kit with interior that looks good when its all done up.

Almost there...WIP Trumpeter 1/32 Chinese F-5

Almost there...just need to add more weathering on the F-5. ( was told to give it OIL streaks ). Not the easiest kit to construct nor even accurate. Had to leave the jet engine out completely, so that the rear fuselage will fit properly at the mid section. Had to use the kit's dolly so that the big plane will not end nose-up.....yeah yeah forgot to add more nose weight.
On the plus side, it only cost SGD 18 and its BIG with lots of surface area to try out your painting techniques just as I have done in this case. Its my first attempt at a bare metal finish.
The Gunze Silver turned out great.
