NEWBIES WELCOMED ANYTIME
Last Sunday,
It is always a pleasure to see young kids and teenagers taking time off from their active school activities and computer to get involved in the art of model making. To Ryan and his sister J...carry on modelling. See both of you next Sunday.
As for this coming Sunday, Alvin wants to remind those members involved in THE PROJECT to meet up. Mark needs to get the print-out for Alvin so that we can arrange the parking positions.

AIRFIX TROPHY 2008
Hi
For your information, Airfix Trophy 2008 will be held at the Airforce Museum in the month of June from 4th till the 7th. Members of Armie's community who will be participating in the Airfix Trophy should start early on their projects. Let us all give Peter of Morgan Hobby Bounty our full support and help make the Airfix Trophy a success again.
Members will have plenty of opportunity to show their modelling skills this year because soon after the Airfix Trophy 2008, there is the Tamiya Competition 2008. For the latter, no dates or venue have been set by Stargek yet.
So....remember.... start early.....and have lots of creative fun.

HK Modelling Competition in 2007
The latest slideshow is from one of the HK modelling competition held in 2007. Have a look! I notice that the HK modellers are not followers of weathering techniques where aircraft modelling is concerned. Another thing is they like it BIG.....

Old Revell 1/32 Kits.....recycled
The latest slideshow is of two Revell 1/32 scale model kits that were manufactured in the 70s. Purchased new, started on but never completed and later sold on EBAY years later. I bought it for about USD 15 apiece, reconstructed and painted it. Lots of work and yet a good way to learn from scratch about modelling aircraft kits. Quality is poor in comparison with current plastic kits. Both models have wrong dimensions and missing lots of detail. However with TLC and joy in OTBs, both turned out ok.
I still need to paint the tips of the blades as well as add the antennae wires to the Zeke and the Jug before calling it complete.
Carry on modelling folks
Wonder what ARMIE looks like now?...
Added some slideshows to the blog. First shows what ARMIE's new layout looks like. The two other slideshows contain few picture shots taken during the Tamiya Competition in 2007. Enjoy!
